Learn from the Best at the Auto Aftermarket Expo

A comprehensive Seminar Series has been released for the Australian Auto Aftermarket Expo (AAAExpo), providing an unparalleled education opportunity for automotive businesses large and small.

Taking place 7 – 9 April at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, The AAAExpo is the most significant event for Australia’s $25 billion aftermarket industry. The Seminar Series forms a core component of the show and delivers on the Expo theme ‘The Workshop of the Future Is Here’, in conjunction with the highly anticipated Workshop of the Future Pavilion.

The free Seminar Series will be highly sought-after for attendees. A hand-picked selection of respected industry experts will offer practical knowledge on the topics that matter most to the industry. Both engaging and thought provoking, the sessions are designed for workshop owners and managers looking for a suite of tools to gain an edge in business, through to automotive technicians looking to upskill their knowledge and further their careers.

“The Auto Aftermarket Expo seminar series has proven to be a key drawcard for the Expo and we are proud to be delivering an impressive education program designed specifically for our industry. The beauty of the seminar program is it is free to attend and visitors can pick and choose the seminars that are important to them,” said Stuart Charity, CEO of the AAAA.

The number one issue affecting workshop sustainability and growth – the skills shortage, is going to be a very topical seminar session. A panel of industry leaders will tackle the challenges the industry faces, and with optimism, share ideas on how to attract staff and address skills shortages at the workshop level.

Another seminar, hosted by AAAA Director of Government Relations and Advocacy Lesley Yates, will brief attendees on the all-important Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Information Sharing Scheme as it enters the final stages before its implementation on 1st July. This seminar will provide an overview of what information will be made available under the scheme and how technicians will gain access to it.

With EVs being a hot topic, Stuart Charity will host an expert industry panel discussion to demystify the issue. EVs volumes will continue to increase, but how soon, and what are the challenges businesses need to be aware of to be ready and take advantage of this new automotive era.

Other important seminar session topics include: The most common legal issues affecting workshops, how to use data to improve business performance, getting business fundamentals in place, how to improve customer service, the five steps to workshop success, the future of vehicle modification, and how to step away from your business for a holiday.

Registration for the Expo and seminars is free of charge, however limited tickets are available for each session. To confirm your place, please register for the Expo and select your seminars of interest at https://autoaftermarketexpo.com.au/visiting/seminar-series-2022/.
